Unit 2, Encounters, experiences and meetings: Primary research visit to Pick Me Up

I went to the Pick Me Up graphics show at Somerset House in London to look at lots of different designers work and to get inspiration for my own work.

I found that Andy Smith's work, mainly illustration or typography based, was the most inspiring to me as it looks exciting, colourful, cleverly made and it stands out well.
There was a lot of different types of work on display such as typography, illustrations, lino prints, paintings, paper installations and many others.

  1. Fantastic! Glad that you went and visited this exhibition - I can see from your photographs that you saw some interesting stuff but you should also give a written response to your visit - think about the following points:

    - Whose work did you find inspiring?
    - What sort of work was on show?
    - Did you gain further insight into possible careers in graphic design
    - Did you get involved with any of the activities?
    etc

also refer to the exhibition review task for the Hayward Gallery visit for guidance on what to write.
